A Wexford business has been recognised as a ‘great place to work’….

Newtown Park Hotel in Wexford has been certified as a Great Place to Work, recognising the hotel’s commitment to creating a positive workplace culture and strengthening its position as an employer of choice within Ireland’s hospitality sector.

The certification is based on direct feedback from employees as part of a comprehensive and anonymous workplace survey conducted by Great Place to Work Ireland and provides independent validation of the organisation’s employee experience and workplace culture.

Formerly a Maldron hotel, the 110-bedroom property was acquired by local business owner Colm Neville in autumn 2024. Since then, significant investment has been made across its facilities, including a full refurbishment of The Courtyard Bar, enhancements to the hotel’s food offering, a complete refurbishment of Newtown Park Health & Fitness Club and a makeover of the hotel lobby.

Great Place to Work certification adds to the hotel’s recent recognition as a Quality Employer Hotel for 2026 under the Irish Hotels Federation’s Quality Employer Programme. Employing 110 people, Newtown Park Hotel places a strong focus on creating a workplace where employees can develop, feel valued and build long-term careers in hospitality.

General Manager Michael Halpin welcomed the recognition, saying:
