
Wexford town boxer, Dean Walsh, will be returning to professional boxing action on Friday evening..
Dean Walsh will be squaring off against Jamil Elo. It will be on the undercard of the Mick Conlan vs Jack Bateson fight at the 3Arena in Dublin (Friday 05 September).
According to sources like Big Fight Weekend, the whole card is set to be shown live on Channel 5, however this is not true. Coverage on Channel 5 begins at 9pm, implying that only the main event between Conlan-Bateson card will be shown live on Channel 5, as the ring-walks are due to take place at approximately 10pm.

The Thriller TV pre-lims stream is set to start coverage at 5:15pm.

Walsh already has another professional fight scheduled to take place next month. One month later, Walsh will be fighting on a JB Promotions card entitled ‘A New Dawn’ in the National Stadium. Wexford’s Walsh will be coming up against the reigning Celtic light-middleweight champion and Celtic middleweight champion, Daniel O’Sullivan. A win this evening and then against O’Sullivan would set up an Irish title fight for Walsh.
