Next professional boxing date revealed for Wexford’s Dean Furlong

Dean Furlong is not waiting around and his eager to keep adding to his record…

Wexford boxer, Dean ‘Gonzalez’ Furlong has pencilled in a new fight date. His current professional record is 5-0-0. His last win came in April 2025 against Jakub Laskowski. He was then pencilled in for another headline Spanish bout in June 2025, but his opponent withdrew at the last minute.

Once again, Furlong will be fighting in Spain, but this time it will be in Canals, a municipality in the Valencian Community called Canals, Valencia, or the Canal de Castilla.

The Wexford man will be boxing on October 4th 2025, less than one month away from the time of writing – meaning that his training camp is well and truly underway.

Furlong’s fight will also be broadcasted live on Spanish television.

He will be featuring on the undercard of a Spanish title fight.

In a previous interview, he emphasized his goal:

“I want to go all the way to the top… a world-level superstar.”

One way to get to this level is by having an active schedule and with multiple fights per year, something that Furlong is eager to do.

He’s already headlining multiple bouts in Spain at just 22 years old—demonstrating confidence and growing reputation among promoters.

Despite training abroad, Dean remains deeply connected to his Wexford heritage. He hopes to fight in Wexford in the near future and values the support from his hometown community, including the Wexford CBS club.
