Piercestown outfit St Martins were crowned Wexford Senior Hurling Champions on Sunday afternoon after they overcame Rathnure…
St Martins, who claimed the title for the second year in-a-row, will now come up against the reigning All-Ireland Senior hurling club champions in their next clash in the Leinster Club Championship.
St Martins will be taking on Dublin champions Na Fianna, who won the Senior Club All-Ireland in 2024.
Na Fianna defeated Lucan by the minimum of points on Sunday afternoon, helped by a late score from Dublin inter-county hurler, Sean Currie.
The match between St Martins and Na Fianna (Dublin) is a Leinster quarter-final and it will take place in Wexford Park on Sunday November 9th, at 1:30pm.
A win for St Martins will see them advance into the semi-finals, where they will take on the winner of Mount Leinster Rangers (Carlow) or Naas (Kildare).
Last year, St Martins also faced Na Fianna in the Leinster Championship semi-final before the Dublin outfit went on to win the Leinster title and then the All-Ireland title. That day, Na Fianna defeated St Martins on a score-line of 1-16 to 0-15.
