St Martin’s clinched the 2025 Wexford Senior Hurling Championship, beating Rathnure 2-14 to 0-16 in the final…
Since then, they defeated the All-Ireland champions in the Leinster quarter-final and then comfortably defeated Naas (Kildare champions) in the semi-final.
A huge test now awaits the St Martins outfit though as they will come up against Kilkenny kingpins, Ballyhale Shamrocks. Ballyhale Shamrocks overcame Clough Ballacolla (Laois) in a tight semi-final, 1-18 to 1-15, to reach the Leinster final with veteran forward TJ Reid scoring 10 of their points.
Both the Wexford and Kilkenny champions will now battle it out for Leinster title silverware. This is the first ever Leinster club final for St Martins, a historic moment for the Piercestown-based club, but one they’ll be hoping to get over the line too.

Key points to watch:
Can St Martin’s handle the pressure and magnitude of their first Leinster final, especially on Croke Park turf? Their momentum and confidence are high. Ballyhale Shamorocks, however, are no stranger to Croke Park.
Will Ballyhale Shamrocks rediscover their usual dominance, or will their semi-final vulnerabilities be exposed? Shamrocks typically thrive on physicality and experience — but St Martin’s recent form could challenge that.
Key players to watch: For St Martin’s, both Rory O’Connor and Barry O’Connor are in excellent form. Meanwhile, for Ballyhale, the legendary TJ Reid still continues to cause havoc in the opposition defence. Ballyhale Shamrocks will be without their talisman Adrian Mullen, who is ruled out of the final due to an injury.
What are the betting odds?
Ballyhale Shamrocks are listed at 8/15 to win, a draw at 11/1, and St Martin’s at 15/8.
Can I watch it on TV or stream?
The match will be available to watch. It looks like TG4 will be broadcasting the game live, although they are yet to confirm their sport schedule.
Is there transport to the game?
