All you need to know ahead of the St Martins and Ballygunner All-Ireland semi-final

It’s dreamland for St Martins, but the Wexford outfit won’t want to stop dreaming just yet…

The Wexford champions will take on the Waterford champions in the All-Ireland Senior hurling club semi-final this weekend.

Who’s playing?

St Martins will take on Ballygunner (Waterford).

Where is it on?

It will take place in Semple Stadium, Thurles, Tipperary.

When is it on?

Sunday, December 21st. Throw-in is at 3.30pm.

Where can I purchase tickets?

Tickets can be purchased online via Ticketmaster. Adult tickets cost €20, Juveniles cost €5, and Students/OAP’s cost €15.

Is it on tv?

The match will be broadcast live on TG4 at 3:30pm.

What’s the bookies odds?

Ballygunner enter the clash as favourites, priced at 1/3. A draw can be secured at 13/1. Meanwhile, a St Martins victory is priced at 3/1. The handicap is set at +/- 5 points.

Additional information:

Ballygunner have won 5 Munster titles in the previous 6 years, and they’ve won 12 in a row of Waterford Senior hurling titles.

This year, St Martins defeated Rathnure in the Wexford Senior hurling final who were undefeated up until then. They then defeated Na Fianna, Naas, and Ballyhale Shamrocks in the Leinster Senior Club Championship.

St Martins have never won the All-Ireland club title. Meanwhile, Ballygunner won it once – in 2022 – defeating Ballyhale Shamrocks with a last-minute goal for their maiden title.
