Fixture details confirmed for Wexford’s next O’Byrne Cup clash

The Wexford Senior footballers returned to action on Saturday…

John Hegarty’s Wexford Senior Footballers lost out to a strong Kildare side in the opening round of the O’Byrne Cup in St Patrick’s Park, kicking off their 2026 campaign.

Wexford will take on near-neigbours Carlow in a derby clash in the Shield quarter-final of the 2026 O’Byrne Cup.

It will be an away clash for Wexford on this Wednesday evening, 7th January.

A win for Wexford will see them advance into the semi-final stages with Laois awaiting.

In the other semi-final, Wicklow and Longford will battle it out for a place in the O’Byrne Cup Shield final.
