The HSE have pledged support for a new Mental Health facility in Wexford…
Sinn Féin TD for Wicklow-Wexford, Fionntán Ó Súilleabháin, has said he is very pleased to receive confirmation from the HSE that it is supportive of the development of a new mental health facility in County Wexford, following a parliamentary question he put to the Minister for Health.
“I am happy to receive confirmation from the HSE that they are supportive of developing a mental health facility in County Wexford. Crucially, the HSE has also confirmed that it continues to liaise with Capital Estates in this regard, which is a necessary part of progressing this project. This is an important step forward for the people of Co. Wexford who have suffered without life-saving services for decades.”
“Sinn Féin Co. Wexford has long called for improved mental health services in the county. While this confirmation from the HSE is welcome, it is vital that we all continue to keep the pressure on the HSE to ensure that this facility is delivered. Our most vulnerable members of the community deserve access to timely, high-quality mental health care close to home.”
“I will continue to engage with the HSE and all relevant stakeholders to ensure momentum is maintained and that the project is delivered without delay. Sinn Féin remains committed to advocating for properly funded, accessible mental health services in Wexford and right across the state.”
