The Wexford Senior hurlers defeated Carlow in Wexford Park on Saturday evening…
Wexford won by 10 points and now sit on second place with three wins from three, with victories coming against Antrim, Down, and Carlow.
Several Wexford hurlers performed very well against the Barrowsiders.
One of those was Tomás ‘Tucker’ Kinsella, who hails from the Askamore GAA Club. Kinsella was playing in the inside forward line and scored 6 points from play. The Askamore clubman showed his class and composure and any time he had the ball, it looked like a certainty to go over the bar, despite the awkward angles. Tucker was the only Wexford man to be named on the GAA.ie Hurling Team of the Week.

Another player who may feel quite hard done by is Oulart-The Ballagh’s Simon Roche. Roche scored 14 points in Wexford’s win over Carlow with four of those coming from play. Along with that, he played a pivotal role in setting up multiple scores and was found almost everywhere on the pitch in his side’s win.
There’s no doubt that both players will be happy with their performances, but they’ll be aware that tougher tests lie ahead too.
Wexford will take on Dublin in a fortnight’s time in Croke Park in a double-header. The Dublin footballers will also take on Kerry the same evening in their Allianz Football League campaign.
