Wexford boutique clothing store to close down

A boutique clothing store located in Wexford is set to close down…

Owners of a boutique clothing store in Wexford town announced recently that they will be closing down.

Owner Marion Takacs of The Loft, located in 94 North Main Street in Wexford town, will be closing down as they enter retirement.

The Loft Wexford is an independent online ladies boutique and they are admittedly “fashion fanatics.” From flowing dresses to body hugging occasional wear, they had women’s clothing, accessories and footwear to suit your body and pocket.

The owners made a heartfelt message to their strong social media community, noting that it was a difficult decision to make:

“After a lot of thought, I’ve made the decision to close The Loft and step into retirement.”

“This shop has been so much more than a business. It’s been friendships, laughs, stories shared, confidence found, and a wonderful daily routine that I’ll always treasure. Going live each day, chatting with you, and sharing clothes I genuinely loved has been one of the great joys of my life.”

“I also want to take a moment to thank the wonderful girls who worked with me over the years. Their loyalty, kindness, hard work, and genuine care for our customers helped make The Loft what it was. I couldn’t have asked for better support, and I will be forever grateful to each of them.”

“To every single customer who supported me — whether you bought, watched, commented, shared, or just tuned in for the craic — thank you from the bottom of my heart. You turned a shop into a community, and I will never forget that,” owner Marion Takacs said.

Although their clothing store in Wexford town has become a mainstray for shoppers, their online live-streaming, where they sold boutique women’s wear, was also quite popular amongst shoppers over the past two years.

On the live-streams, shoppers got a taste of new arrivals and on-sale items from the ease of their smartphone or laptop. For contet, The Loft’s live-streams were amongst the most popular in Ireland for women shoppers, with their Facebook page amassing over 60,000 followers.
