The Ryan Cup took place over the weekend…
The Ryan Cup is the second-tier college’s hurling competition, the tier behind the Fitzgibbon Cup.
After a weekend of hurling action in the Ryan Cup, both Mary Immaculate College – St Pats Thurles (MIT) and Technology University Dublin (TUD) battled it out for silverware in the Ryan Cup final at DCU’s Sports Complex on Sunday afternoon.
The game ended on a score-line of 3-24 to 3-13 in favour of TUD, making up for their loss in the Ryan Cup final last year to Garda College.
There were multiple Wexford hurlers who were part of the successful TUD team that claimed silverware.
Cian Browne of Naomh Eanna, who played at wing-back, captained the side to victory.

Derry Mahon — who is a part of the Wexford Senior hurling squad this year — lined out between the posts for the TUD side.
In defence, Liam Shockman of St Annes started in the full-back position, while Conor Murphy (Taghmon Camross) lined out at centre-back beside captain Cian Browne.
In attack, Richie Lawlor (Faythe Harriers) lined out at centre-forward.
