There’s a lot of excitement brewing ahead of David ‘Bomber’ Kennedy’s next fight…
The Wexford professional boxer will travel to Ballybofey, County Donegal for his next professional boxing fight this weekend.
The Gorey light-heavyweight will face Slovakian opponent Alex Frantisek Dzubak in a scheduled four-round professional bout. The contest takes place on Saturday, February 21, 2026 as part of a historic night of professional boxing in the Twin Towns.
Kennedy enters the fight unbeaten in the pro ranks at 2-0 and will be aiming to extend his record to 3-0 on a bill that features a host of emerging Irish prospects
Boxing promoter, Jason Quigley — who promotes under the label of Sheer Sports Management — made his prediction for the fight while speaking to Boxing Tickets NI on YouTube.
“With David Kennedy, he’s taking a great support up from Wexford. That’s a brave trek — but he’s bringing a good support up and he sold a good number of tickets down there.”
“He’s back after breaking his hand. He’s back to blow off a bit of cobwebs, ring rust, and he’s up against a lad where he should be able to take care of business in there and to do what he’s got to do the get the ball rolling for himself again.”
“The place will be rocking,” Quigley said.
Last month, in an interview with Wexford Weekly, the Gorey man also predicted that he doesn’t believe the fight will go the distance.
The fight will not be live steamed.
