The 2026 Irish Restaurant Awards were held last night…
Last night, held at the Killashee Hotel in County Kildare, awards were given on a county-by-county basis in various different categories across the Leinster region.
One category which always attracts a lot of local attention is the ‘Best Restaurant’ category. The winner of Wexford’s best restaurant was La Cote Seafood restaurant, based in Wexford town.
Speaking after their win, owner and chef Paul Hynes said:
“This recognition means so much to us. It reflects the hard work, passion and dedication of our entire team who strive every day to showcase the very best of fresh local seafood and hospitality here in Wexford. A heartfelt thank you to our amazing staff, our local suppliers, and most importantly our wonderful customers who continue to support us — this award belongs to all of you too,” he said.
In related news, Wexford’s Best Pub for 2026 was also revealed at the Irish Restaurant Awards held last night in Kildare.
