A new service station is close to being fully built in Wexford…
The new service station, which includes 40 parking spaces, is located in Knockmullen on the R741 regional approach road to Gorey (coming from the Ballycanew direction into Gorey, near the Amber Springs Hotel).
Within these 40 new spaces, the new service station is also to include 10 electrical vehichle charging points.
The application was submitted by well-known local developers, Tom and Pat Redmond.
An appeal for the planning permission was made by a neighbouring resident, however, it was rejected by An Coimisiún Pleanála at the time and the property is now close to opening fully to the public.
Speculation had grown around the locality regarding which shop would be placed within the new property.
It has since been confirmed that Centra will be operating within the premises.
“Redmond’s Centra” recently shared a number of full-time and part-time job applications online, encouraging anyone interested in working within the shop to bring their CV attend the ‘recruitment day’ at the Ashdown Park Hotel in Gorey. The recruitment days are on Thursday 26th March (10am-12 and 6:30-8pm) & Saturday 28th March (12-2pm).
Positions are available for sales assistants, deli staff, supervisors, and fast-food catering staff. This means that, alongside Centra, there will be an additional ‘fast food’ option available within the premises once it opens to the public too.
