Wexford schools hurling final to be played before Wexford vs Kildare

The Wexford Senior hurlers will be out in action this weekend…

Keith Rosstier’s Wexford Senior hurling side will take on Kildare in what will be the last game of the Allianz Hurling League campaign for 2026.

It’s an intriguing clash from a tactical perspective though, with both teams facing each other in the first round of the Leinster Senior hurling championship less that one month later.

Ahead of the Allianz Hurling League game between Wexford and Kildare, a Wexford schools final will be taking place and will act as a curtain-raiser.

Taking place in Wexford Park, St Peters College will take on Good Counsel at 2:45pm on Saturday 21 March in the Division 1 First Year Hurling Final, while the Wexford Senior hurlers will host Kildare at 5pm.

The following day, the Wexford Senior footballers will host Westmeath in what essentially is a Divsion 3 Allianz League semi-final. The winners of the clash will secure promotion to Division 2 and also a place in the Division 3 final.
