Wexford’s Keara claims prestigious award at Hair and Beauty awards ceremony

Enniscorthy businesswoman Keara Howard is still pinching herself after winning the prestigious award at the The Passoã Hair & Beauty Awards 2026, hosted by Hi Style.

The glamorous awards ceremony took place on Sunday, 22 March 2026, at the stunning Garryvoe Hotel in East Cork, overlooking the beach.

At the awards ceremony, Keara’s business Hair Doc won ‘Best Irish Brand’ for 2026 (also referred to as Best Irish Hair Brand).

In an emotional post shared across her social channels, Keara wrote:

“I honestly don’t even know where to start. Last night I won Best Irish Brand 2026. From starting The Hair Doctor at my kitchen table to standing on stage holding this, it doesn’t feel real. There’s been ups and downs, but I kept going. Thank you to every single person who supported me, every order, share, and message. I’m so proud and we’re only getting started,” Keara shared.

Keara, who also runs Scissor Sisterz salon in Enniscorthy with her sister Tanya, launched The Hair Doctor as a flexible business to support her young family while drawing on years of salon expertise to solve real hair issues like hard water damage.
