Pikeman Martial Arts continues its rapid rise as one of the region’s standout sporting success stories.

In a short space of time, the club has grown into a thriving hub for martial arts, now coaching more than 120 children each week. While its success in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition has been remarkable, the club’s core mission goes far beyond medals, focusing on youth development, building confidence, discipline, and keeping young people active within the local community.

That said, the results speak for themselves. In just their first six months competing at Ireland’s largest national tournaments, Pikeman Martial Arts athletes have amassed an impressive medal haul of 52 gold, 64 silver, and 49 bronze.

Representing Wexford with pride, competitors from the club have already made their mark at both national and international level.

The club offers far more than just youth programmes. Catering to all ages and abilities, Pikeman Martial Arts runs Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes for beginners and intermediate adults, as well as MMA sessions for both children and adults.

Long-established kickboxing, fitness, and personal training programmes further expand the club’s reach, creating an inclusive environment where anyone, from complete beginners to aspiring competitors, can get involved.

At the heart of the club’s success is head coach Brian Moore, a professional MMA fighter with experience competing on some of the biggest stages in the sport through the Bellator organisation. Having represented both Wexford and Ireland at elite level, Moore is now focused on giving back, bringing world-class knowledge and experience to a grassroots setting in rural Wexford. His vision is a clear one: to develop not only high-performing athletes, but also to positively impact everyday people through martial arts training.

With its combination of competitive success, strong community values, and a growing membership base, Pikeman Martial Arts is fast becoming a cornerstone of local sport in Wexford, proof that even in rural areas, dedication and passion can produce something truly special.
