Venue confirmed for Louth vs Wexford Leinster SFC quarter-final

The GAA’s Championship season is almost upon us….

In just over one week, Wexford will take on reigning Leinster Senior Football Champions, Louth, in the Leinster SFC quarter-final next Sunday, 19 April.

The venue for the clash was confirmed following the Wicklow vs Carlow game which took place on Sunday, 12 April.

The venue for Wexford vs Louth has since been confirmed as Dr Cullen Park. Throw in has been set for 2:30pm (Sunday, 19 April).

After an excellent Allianz League campaign, which seen the Wexford Senior Footballers promoted to Division 2, Wexford have nothing to fear and everything to gain against the Leinster Champions.

Regarding the betting, the bookmakers can only see one clear winner. Most major bookmakers such as PaddyPower or BoyleSports, have Louth as 1/4 favourites. Meanwhile, they’ve priced a Wexford win at 9/2 and the draw can be secured at 12/1.

A win will see Wexford placed into the semi-final stages of the Leinster SF Championship, where we’ll take on the winners of Dublin/Wicklow/Carlow.

Meanwhile, the Wexford Senior hurlers will take on Kildare next Saturday, 18 April, against Kildare to kick-start their Leinster Senior hurling campaign. Rossiter’s team will also face Kilkenny, Offaly, Galway and Dublin throughout their respective round-robin Leinster Championship series.
