Kildare vs Wexford

Fixture details:

Saturday, April 18, 2026. Throw-in is set for 6:30pm. It’s taking place in Cedral St. Conleth’s Park, Newbridge, County Kildare.

What’s it in? Is it important?

This is the first round of the Leinster Senior hurling championship for Wexford. It’s a crucial game for the team. Wexford will be hoping for a similar performance to their last clash against Kildare in the Allianz Hurling League. Wexford will take on Kilkenny in Round 2, but they won’t be looking past this potential banana-skin.

Betting odds?

Wexford are strong favourites heading into this clash. Wexford are priced at 2/9 in most major bookmakers including BoyleSports, Betfair, and PaddyPower. Meanwhile, Kildare are priced at 4/1 while the draw can be secured at 12/1.

What are the teams?

Wexford team:

Wexford will be without St Martins clubman, Darren Codd, who featured prominently throughout the 2026 Allianz Hurling League campaign. However, they have been handed a boost with the selection availability of both Jack O’Connor and Liam Ryan. It’s hoped that both players will receive game time, adding experience to the squad. Both have been named on the bench.
