The Orphan Girl pub and restaurant in North Wexford held its official opening yesterday under the new ownership…
Now under the ownership of the Brooks family, the popular local venue welcomed patrons through its doors for the first time in its latest chapter, marking a fresh start for the long-established premises.
The Brooks family, well-known in the area as owners of Brooks supermarket in Riverchapel, are taking over the business with great enthusiasm.
Those involved in Wexford football will be particularly familiar with the name, as both Robbie and Darragh Brooks have represented the county at senior level.
Local well-wishers have already extended their support, with many expressing confidence that the family’s community roots and experience in business will serve the venue well.

The new owners take over from the Spencer family, who have decided to enjoy a well-earned retirement after many years of successful ownership of The Orphan Girl. Their contribution to the local hospitality scene over such a long period has been warmly acknowledged by regulars.
