Keith Rossiter calls for big Wexford support against Kilkenny

The Wexford Senior hurlers will take on Kilkenny this weekend…

This Saturday, Wexford travel to Nowlan Park to take on Kilkenny in Round 2 of the Leinster Senior hurling championship.

Speaking to Wexford GAA, Keith Rossiter has encouraged the Wexford supporters to get behind the team and travel in numbers this weekend for the derby clash.

“The Wexford support has been great. Even up in Newbridge last week, I think we outnumbered Kildare and I hope we can do the same this weekend in Nowlan Park. It’s a tough ask on our supporters, but we’d be asking them all to come out again on Saturday evening for the short trip up to Nowlan Park. To get behind us and give us the support – It’s what the team needs, and wants; it’ll help us on Saturday and the more people we get up there the better,” Rossiter said.

Wexford defeated Kidare last weekend, while Kilkenny lost out heavily to Galway in their respective opening rounds.

The Wexford manager also noted that most of the team came through the Kildare clash unscathed, and that there’s great competition for places ahead of this weekend.
