Corner Boy to play at free event at unique Wexford venue

There’s some excitement in the air in Ferns as the Festival of Ferns returns for 2026, taking place next month on Saturday 30 May and Sunday 31 May…

The Festival of Ferns is set to return, with the biggest news this year being that Corner Boy will be playing live in concert on the grounds of Ferns Castle.

Even more good news is that it’ll be a free event, with the events being supported by Wexford County Council, Failte Ireland, and Ireland’s Ancient East. Wexford band Corner Boy will take to the stage from 6-8:30pm on Saturday.

As always, the festival is about celebrating the community, its heritage, and the unique spirit of Ferns. From music and history to family fun activities, this year’s programme has something for everyone to enjoy.

Highlights of this year’s festival include a festival parade, the Corner Boy concert at Ferns Castle, and a new addition to the festivities, a Princess and Knights Picnic at Ferns Castle.
