Coffee morning to be held in Gorey to honour the late Claire Cullen

Wexford locals are invited to a special Coffee Morning at Breen’s Bar on Saturday, 2nd May, to raise funds for the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust in honour of the late Claire Cullen from Riverchapel…

The event, which takes place from 11am, will bring the community together over tea, coffee, and home baking to support a cause that played a vital role in helping Claire’s family during their time of need.

Claire, a close friend of local organiser Marguerite Donohoe, sadly died last November while in the Dominican Republic. Claire Cullen, from Gorey, Co Wexford, had been on the Caribbean island to attend a wedding when she was killed in an accident involving a car.

The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust provided invaluable assistance, ensuring Claire could be brought home to her loved ones. Speaking about the upcoming coffee morning, Marguerite highlighted the charity’s importance:

“The Kevin Bell charity were just amazing and without them we wouldn’t have got her home,” she said.

Funds raised on the day will go directly to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust in Claire’s memory. A raffle will also run throughout the event, with generous vouchers and prizes kindly donated by local businesses. Attendees can enjoy a relaxed morning with tea and coffee, delicious cakes, and the chance to contribute to a meaningful cause.

The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust is a registered charity that assists families in bringing home loved ones who have passed away abroad, providing practical and financial support during incredibly difficult times.
