All you need to know ahead of the Wexford-Galway clash this weekend

The Wexford Senior hurlers will take on Galway this weekend…

Here, we’ll go through all you need to know ahead of the game including fixture details, betting odds, team details and streaming options.

Fixture details?

It’s a home clash. It takes place in Wexford Park on Sunday May 24, 2026.

Throw-in is set for 2pm.

What’s it in?

It’s Round 5 of the Leinster Senior hurling championship. It’ll be Wexford’s last game of the championship for 2026.

Can Wexford qualify?

No, Wexford cannot qualify. Wexford have won just one game in the Championship (Kildare) and then lost to Kilkenny, Dublin, and Offaly. Wexford will be only playing for pride in this game. However, Galway still require a win to reach the Leinster final. The good news is that Wexford cannot be relegated to the Joe McDonagh Cup, even if they lose to Galway.

Team details?

Wexford have multiple injuries heading into the game. They include Damien Reck, Shane Reck, and Eamonn Wickham to name just a few of our key defenders. The team has not been released to the media yet, but one can expect that the above players will not feature after picking up injuries against Offaly.

Streaming details?

This match will not be broadcast or streamed anywhere. The only way you’ll be able to watch this clash is if you attend in person. However, South East Radio will have live commentary on their radio station.
