Ireland’s much loved pet competition, the Nose of Tralee, has officially opened for entries for 2026, inviting pets from all 32 counties to compete for the title of 2026 Nose of Tralee…
Organised by Pet Sitters Ireland the annual online competition celebrates the personalities and stories of pets across the country, with hundreds of pet lovers expected to take part once again this year. Last year’s competition attracted over 1,500 entries and generated tens of thousands of public votes.
Pet owners from all 32 counties can now enter their dogs, cats and other pets by submitting a photo along with a short description explaining why their pet deserves to become the next Nose of Tralee.
Public votes and judging will determine which pet from each county progresses to the final stages of the competition, before one overall winner is crowned the 2026 Nose of Tralee.
Speaking to Wexford Weekly about the launch, organiser Kate McQuillan of Pet Sitters Ireland said:
“The Nose of Tralee has become such a fun and positive event for pet lovers around Ireland. Every year we see hilarious, emotional and heartwarming entries from people who absolutely adore their pets, and we can’t wait to see this year’s contestants,” she said.
The competition is free to enter and prizes include a pet friendly hotel stay at Castletroy Park Hotel, a professional photo shoot with David McAuley Photography, €500 cash, a €250 pet sitting voucher from Pet Sitters Ireland, personalised pet gifts, pet accessories, artwork, treats, hampers, vouchers and lots more from amazing Irish pet brands and businesses.
Entries close on the 14th June, when the competition opens to a public vote.
