Iconic bar The Stores reopens in Wexford town

It’s some good news for pub-goers…

After some extensive renovations, iconic bar The Stores in Wexford town is set to reopen later today.

The property was bought by Bugler Doyle of Wexford town and he has since renovated the property — and it’s now ready to open up to customers.

“It also retains many of the features which made it such an iconic pub,” new propreitor Bugler Doyle said.

The nightclub itself will not reopen yet, however, this may reopen down the line.

For the moment, customers can enjoy the brand-new downstairs of the pub while the owner also hopes to utilise the sun-trapped beer garden at the premises.

The Stores is set to reopen at 3pm on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

The Stores was bought by publican Bugler Doyle after an auction in July last year, with the property selling for €1.2 million at the time. It was sold for more than €500,000 above its guide price at the time after a long bidding war to secure the property.

The Stores adds an another excellent option for pub-goers in Wexford town and it’s great to see it reopened to the public.
