Two boxers from Wexford are through to the finals of the Four Nations Cup…
The Four Nations competition takes place from Thursday 11th June to Sunday 14th June 2026. It includes boxers at all age categories from U15 to Elite, representing Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales. Two Wexford boxers will be fighting in the finals of the competition today (Friday 12 June).
Young Gorey boxer, Kayleigh Byrne, is through to the finals of the Four Nations Cup taking place at the Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility, Motherwell in Scotland.
In the final, Kayleigh will be coming up against an English opponent, Serena Mali, who defeated her Scottish opponent in the semi-final today too. The impressive Mali has won multiple national titles in England and recently represented her country at the World Boxing Futures Cup Bangkok 2026 in March.
Kayleigh will be fighting in Ring A. The first fight in Ring A was scheduled to take place at 11am (Friday). Kayleigh’s fight will be the third fight in Ring A.
