Wexford pub hosting 64-person pool tournament in aid of charity

A Wexford pub is gearing up to host a massive local pool tournament next month…

The Rebel Pub in Tombrack, County Wexford, will be hosting a big pool tournament next month, all in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. The pool tournament will take place on Saturday, August 15.

Tournament structure:

All games will be 20 minute match clock race to 4 games with option of shot clock should both or one participant choose to have one. The final will be 30 minutes, race to 5.

The organisers of the competition have noted that there “will be a handicap system implemented where deemed neccissary.”

Running times:

Session 1 starting at 10:30a.m sharp! Anybody drawn in session 1 should be there at 10:00a.m to register. The session will end approximately 1:50p.m with the final 2 players advancing to random draw semi-finals.

Session 2 will then commence at 2:30p.m sharp! We ask all players drawn in session 2 to be there for 2:00p.m sharp. Session 2 will end at approximately 17:50p.m with the final 2 players advancing to random draw Semi-finals

Semi-finals will start simultaneously at 6:30p.m and finish at 6:50p.m with the final to follow starting at 7:15p.m and finishing at 7:45p.m.

The winner will receive a €500 payout, while second wins a €250 payout. Both first and second place payments will be accompanied with trophies which have been sponsored by Wexford Pool Promotions

Anyone interested in registering should contact James Dunne (details on poster). There is a €30 registration fee. All payments can be made via Revolut (details on poster). Please add your name and word “POOL” on the payment.

All proceeds raised will go to the Irish Cancer Society.
