The Stables Fitness & Wellbeing in Gorey, Co. Wexford, has been crowned TRYKA Series 1 Gym League Champion, becoming the league’s first-ever Fittest Gym following the TRYKA Grand Finale in Lisbon….
The victory caps a breakthrough first international season for TRYKA, during which gyms from Ireland and beyond competed across four sold-out Dublin events, TRYKA’s inaugural London race and the Grand Finale in Lisbon.
Throughout the season, affiliated gyms accumulated points through participation and performance, competing against fitness communities from across the TRYKA network as part of the league’s fast-growing Gym League.
Following the final standings in Lisbon, The Stables Fitness & Wellbeing secured top spot ahead of Anatomic Fitness and FlyeFit, placing the Gorey gym at the top of one of Ireland’s most competitive fitness communities.

The Gym League has become one of the most important parts of the TRYKA community, creating friendly competition between fitness facilities while encouraging members to train, compete, travel and celebrate together throughout the season.
Speaking to Wexford Weekly, Patrick Syme, Co-owner at The Stables Fitness & Wellbeing, said:
“To finish top of the TRYKA Gym League is a huge achievement for our members and for the wider Stables community. From the start, TRYKA gave us something exciting to work towards together and created a real buzz around the gym throughout the year. What made it special was seeing people of all levels get involved, train together, support each other and represent The Stables with such pride. The atmosphere around the events has been incredible and we are hugely proud to bring the trophy and title back to Wexford. We’ll definitely be back for Series 2!”
Meanwhile, Brian Lee, founder of TRYKA, said:
“One of the most rewarding aspects of TRYKA has been seeing gyms embrace the league concept and build real communities around the events. From the very beginning, The Stables Fitness & Wellbeing has been one of the strongest and most consistent supporters of what we’re trying to build.
“To finish the season as our first-ever Fittest Gym is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the culture, commitment and community they have created. Huge congratulations to everyone involved.”
The conclusion of the Grand Finale also marks the beginning of the next chapter for TRYKA. Series 2 kicks off at the RDS, Dublin, from 30 October to 1 November, with a Halloween-themed race weekend expected to attract thousands of competitors, spectators, gyms and corporate teams. Following the success of Series 1, organisers expect strong demand for both individual and gym entries as TRYKA continues its expansion across Ireland, the UK and Europe.
