GLÓR TÍRE, Ireland’s premier Country music show, returns for its 23rd season in 2027, with auditions now open as the search begins for the island’s next Country star.
The popular and influential show, widely regarded as the premier platform for new and emerging talent and an essential part of the Country and Irish music genre, will be broadcast on Ireland’s national Irish-language station, TG4, next year.
Country and Irish singers are invited to audition for Glór Tíre Season 23. Entrants must submit ONE video or YouTube link of themselves performing a song, along with their age, contact details and a brief description of themselves, to eolas@gaelmedia.ie.
Entrants must be over 18 as of 1 October 2026. The deadline for entries is midday on Monday, 9 November 2026. No entries will be accepted after this date.
All entries will be uploaded to a YouTube channel and shared with the Glór Tíre mentors, who will select their contestants from the applications received. Videos must be in a format that can be downloaded or viewed on YouTube. Videos or applications submitted through Facebook or any other social media platforms will not be accepted.
By applying to take part in the series, entrants give permission for their video and contact details to be shared with the production team, mentors and any other persons necessary for the production of the series. Submitted videos may also be used in future promotion or advertising of the show.
Successful entrants must make themselves available for all recording dates, including 30 November and 1 December 2026, as well as live show dates to be confirmed in 2027. They must also be available for any promotional or behind-the-scenes days deemed necessary by the production company.
Glór Tíre Season 23 will be presented by Aoife Ní Thuairisg, while Jó Ní Chéide and Caitriona Ní Shuilleabháin return as resident judges. The series is produced by Galway-based company Gael Media.
The search is on, the auditions are open, and Glór Tíre wants to hear from you. Are you Ireland’s next Country music star?
