Team News: Davy Names Side For Leinster Hurling Opener Against The Dubs

Wexford travel to Dublin on Sunday to kick-start their hurling championship campaign…

Unlike previous years, the Wexford Senior hurling team have been quiet throughout the media in the lead-up to Sunday’s encounter.

Wexford’s hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald has named his side:

XV:
1.Mark Fanning,
2. Damien Reck, 3. Liam Ryan, 4. Shaun Murphy,
5. Paudie Foley, 6. Matt O’Hanlon, 7. Simon Donohoe,
8. Kevin Foley, 9.Dee O’Keeffe,
10.Jack O’Connor, 11. Liam ÓgMcGovern, 12. Aidan Nolan
13. Conor McDonald, 14. Lee Chin, 15. Rory O’Connor.

Subs:
Eanna Martin, Shane Reck, Conor Firman, James Breen, Cathal Dunbar, Gavin Bailey, Harry Kehoe, Seamus Casey, Joe O’Connor, David Dunne, Paul Morris.

Wexford fans will be delighted to see St. Annes pair Dee O’Keeffe and Liam ÓgMcGovern line out on the starting fifteen, as there was a few injury doubts over their names in recent weeks.

Wexford will face a stiff test in Dublin, who lost out narrowly to Kilkenny last weekend. The Yellowbellies will need to be in top-form to walk away from Parnell Park with a win.
