The Wexford hurlers played Limerick in a modified exhibition hurling match today…
Davy Fitzgerald’s Wexford hurlers were defeated on a scoreline of 52-20 in today’s exhibition clash at New York’s Citi Field. Naomh Eanna’s Cathal Dunbar was Wexford’s star player, scoring six ‘points’ for the Yellowbellies.
Reigning champions Limerick were too strong for the Model County though. The Treaty County will now play Kilkenny in the final, who avenged their recent All-Ireland loss with a win over Tipperary.
The Wexford hurlers will now enjoy the rest of their New York trip, before they embark on an adventure to Orlando, Florida.
