Former Dublin Senior Club Winning Manager Joins Up With Wexford’s U-20 Hurling Backroom

The Wexford u-20’s will be delighted with the introduction of this man to their backroom squad…

Former Dublin Senior club winning manager Joe Fortune has joined the Wexford u-20 hurling backroom set-up for the upcoming season.

Fortune joins James Shiel who remains in his role as manager of the Wexford u-20 hurlers. Shiel guided his team to the Leinster minor hurling championship in 2019, but lost out comprehensively to Dublin in last year’s u-20 championship after a whirlwind of a year.

There’s no doubt that new addition Fortune will bring an extra element to the set-up. Fortune is a native of Wexford, but he managed Ballyboden St Endas in Dublin before another Wexford man took over the helm at that club. He guided Ballyboden to a Senior hurling title in 2018, and also guided the Dublin u-21 hurlers to Leinster hurling championship silverware in 2016.
