Liverpool’s James Milner Celebrates After Punting On Wexford Trained Horse At Cheltenham

It wasn’t a bad day for the punters at the Cheltenham Festival today…

One person who was celebrating after the 1.55 was Liverpool star, James Milner.

The Liverpool player placed a bet on Wexford-trained horse, Mrs Milner. Mrs Milner is trained by Wexford’s Paul Nolan. Nolan’s stables is based in Toberona, Davidstown in County Wexford.

Bryan Cooper rode Mrs Milner to victory to land the Grade 3 Pertemps Network Final Handicap Hurdle.

In other news, 20-year-old Enniscorthy native Jordan Gainford has just won the 15:40, The Paddy Power Handicap Chase, at today’s Cheltenham festival. Gainford has previously been labelled a ‘future star’ and ‘one to watch’.
