Two Losses From Two For Wexford Senior Footballers

The Wexford Senior Footballers were back in action today…

After their 0-11-1-18 loss to Kildare in the opening round, Hegarty’s side were hoping to bounce back in round 2.

However, that wasn’t the case.

The Wexford Senior Footballers lost out to Westmeath today in a game which took place at The Downs GAA Club. John Hegarty’s side lost out on a score-line of 0-06 to 1-16, with Wexford GAA describing it as a “disappointing day” on their social media channels.

The starting team and panel from their loss to Westmeath can be found here.

Next fixtures:

In the third round, Wexford will play Louth at home on Wed Jan 11th, Hollymount, 8pm.

After that, Wexford’s focus will be on the League as they commence their journey in Division 4, aiming for promotion. The Allianz League fixtures for the Wexford Senior footballers can be found here. In the opening round, they will be taking on London under lights in Wexford Park on Jan 28th.
