Wexfordâs latest Archery Ireland Target club hosted its first competition in Duncormick at the weekendâŠ
While primarily a target archery club, this first competition was actually a Field Competition, where archers walk from target to target, scoring on different-sized target faces at different distances, some marked and some needing your best guess!Â
CĂșChulainn members in Wexford were joined by archers from other clubs and some members of the âparentâ club, CĂșChulainn Archers, Ardee, Co. Louth. The founder members of the club in Wexford were also the founder members of the club in Ardee and are hoping to keep the connection going, with members of both clubs coming together regularly to compete and socialise.
CĂșChulainn Wexford started indoors in Rathangan Hall during the spring and moved some weeks ago to the outdoor training venue near Duncormick where the competition took place.
Saturdayâs weather was a bit disappointing, and the âArdee lads and lassiesâ had a good-natured laugh about the Sunny South East. Thankfully, Sundayâs weather improved.
The competition was a two-day event and the results for the CĂșChulainn members are as follows:
Results:
Menâs Compound 2nd Place Fiachra Judge (CĂșChulainn Ardee)3rd Niall Bradley (CĂșChulainn Ardee)
