All the details ahead of Wexford’s clash with Galway this weekend

Wexford’s next match is a home clash against Galway…

After the Wexford Senior hurling team disappointingly lost out to Antrim in Corrigan Park on Saturday afternoon, their attention now turns to Galway at home.

It’s Round 3 of the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship.

When it is on? What time?

They’ll take on Galway in Wexford Park this Saturday May 4th at 4pm.

Is it on tv? Or is it being streamed?

It will not be broadcast on TV, but it will be streamed. It has been announced that the GAA’s streaming platform, GAAGo, will be streaming the match at a pay-per-view cost of €12.

What are the betting odds?

Wexford are underdogs heading into this clash. In the eyes of the major bookmakers, Wexford are 11/4 to win the game. A draw is priced at 10/1. Galway enter the clash as strong 1/3 favourites, despite being away from home.

What else is happening?

There’s another match on before it and the event will be a double-header. Fresh from their win over Kilkenny last weekend, the Wexford Minor hurling team will also take on Galway in the group stages of the Leinster Minor Hurling Championship.

Where can I get tickets?

Tickets on sale via Ticketmaster and in participating SuperValu & Centra stores. The covered stand tickets cost €25, while uncovered stand and terrace tickets cost €15. Please note that U16s require tickets (€5 each).

Leinster SHC Table (After Round 2):

So far in the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship, Wexford have drawn one (to Dublin) and lost one (to Antrim) from their opening two rounds. Meanwhile, Galway have won 1 (against Carlow) and drawn their most recent match in Salthill with Kilkenny.

A win for Wexford against Galway this weekend will see them fighting for a place in the top three. Essentially, it’s a game that will define if they have a say in the remainder of the Championship. A loss to Galway will set up a relegation battle with Carlow in Round 4 in Dr. Cullen Park.
