One Wexford footballer named in the GAA.ie Team of the Week

One Wexford footballer has been named in the GAA.ie’s Team of the Week.

Wexford footballer, Dylan Furlong, has been named in the centre-back position of a star studded team which also includes players like Niall Morgan, Darragh Canavan, and David Clifford.

Furlong was instrumental in Wexford’s recent win over Tipperary in the Allianz Hurling League, which has helped to set up a crucial decider against Longford in their next game.

The full team can be seen below:

Meanwhile, Wexford Senior hurling goalkeeper and Glynn-Barntown clubman, Mark Fanning, was named in the GAA.ie’s Hurling Team of the Week. Despite conceeding three goals on the day, it could have been much worse against a strong opposition in Cork had Fanning not been between the posts. He pulled off some excellent saves throughout the game and is also deserving of his place.
