
Two young Wexford footballers have been called up into the Republic of Ireland squad in their respective age groups…
Oisin McDonagh, who only recently made his move over and signed a two-year deal with Italian outfit Venezia FC, has been called up into the Republic of Ireland U-17 squad for their upcoming games.
McDonagh’s call up to the U-17 squad tops of an excellent few weeks for him and there’s no doubt that the Glynn native, and now former Wexford FC academy player, has a bright future ahead in the world of football.

The good Wexford news doesn’t stop there though.
Kaylem Harnett, who has been excelling at centre-mid competing with Wexford FC in the League of Ireland First Division, has also received a call-up to the Republic of Ireland U-19 squad. He has been listed in the defenders for the Men’s U-19 squad, regularly competing at underage for Ireland at the full-back position.
The Republic of Ireland U-19 squad will take on France, Kazakhstan and Slovenia. These matches are set to take place on September 5th, September 7th, and September 10th respectively.
