Another Wexford business won an award recently…
This time, it was Greenhill Fruit Farm which claimed the honours – and they claimed the top spot in their category at the Irish Quality Food and Drinks Awards. The awards ceremony was held on Tuesday 7 September 2024 at The Round Room, The Mansion House, Dublin
Speaking on their Gold award win, the Davidstown business said:
“We are delighted to announce that we scooped a Gold Award at this week’s Irish Quality Food & Drink Awards. Our Strawberries which we supply to Aldi Ireland were recognised as best in class in the fruit category and we couldn’t be happier. We want to say a big thank you to everyone who buys our fruit and we look forward to celebrating the win on our farm this weekend,” a spokesperson for the business said.

At the same awards, Wexford Home Preserves in association with Dunnes Stores Wexford won a Gold medal in the Preserves and Sweet Spreads for their Simply Better Handmade Mixed Berry Preserves.
Killowen Farm also took home a silver medal for their partnership with Dunnes Stores. Their “Dunnes Stores Simply Better Wexford Rich and Creamy Yogurt with Irish Strawberries from Killowen Farm” won silver in the Yogurt section.
It comes following the excellent news that Enniscorthy-based pup, The Bailey Bar & Eatery, won a regional award in the 2024 Irish Pub Awards for the Best Pub Food.
In related hospitality news, just yesterday, it was announced that eight Wexford Gala stores claimed prizes for their “excellence in hospitality.”
