All the details for St Martins clash in the Leinster Club hurling championship

St Martins have been crowned the Wexford Senior hurling champions for 2024…

St Martins defeated St Annes on a score-line of 1-21 to 0-19.

The team, selectors, and supporters will no doubt enjoy the next few days, but soon, their attention will turn to the Leinster Senior hurling club championship.

Daithí Hayes’ charges are now away to Kildare champions.

The Kildare champions are Naas, after they comfortably dispatched of Maynooth in the Kildare Senior hurling county final on Sunday afternoon. It won’t be an easy task for St Martins as the Naas team are no stranger to success; their win on Sunday meant that they were crowned champions of Kildare for six times in a row, while their Senior footballers managed a historic 4-in-a-row just last weekend.

St Martins will take on Naas in the quarter-final of the Leinster Senior hurling club championship.

The match, as per the Leinster GAA fixture list, will take place on Sunday, 17th November.

Whereas the Wexford club championship has rivalries, there’s no doubt that all across Wexford will be hoping that St Martins can enjoy a good run in the Leinster Championship. As long as they’re able to keep injuries to a low-level, they may have a chance of going far in the competition considering some of the quality that they possess.
