The Allianz Hurling and Football Leagues won’t be long coming around…
The Wexford hurlers will take on Cork in the opening round of their Division 1 campaign on January 25th. Cork, who were the runners up in last year’s All-Ireland final, will be coming to Wexford to take all two points – but it should be an exciting encounter.
The Wexford footballers are set to take on London in the opening round of their respective campaign in Division 4.
Wexford GAA confirmed on Thursday that the opening round for the Wexford Senior hurlers and the Wexford Senior footballers will be a double-header in Wexford Park.
The Wexford vs Cork game will throw-in at 5pm. This will be followed by the Wexford vs London game under lights at 7pm.
As per the confirmed fixture list, this will be the only Wexford double-header in the Allianz League campaign for 2025.
It’s a nice way to kick off the campaign for both Wexford teams, and a large crowd is expected to be in attendance for the opening round.
