Wexford business to close down after just one year

After just one year in operation, a Wexford business is set to close down…

Mattress Mick opened in Gorey, Co. Wexford in March 2024.

However, after just 12 months in business, the well-known business which focusses on a range of beds, mattresses, and frames will now be closing down.

Mattress Mick, located at the Gorey Business Park in Ramstown, has announced that it is having a “closing down sale” with up to 60% off on selected products.

The news came as somewhat of a shock to locals, given its short time in business within the town. The business operates with multiple stores nationwide including stores in Coolock, Naas, Drogheda, Waterford, Carlow, Dundalk, Athlone, and Dungarvan.

In related news, a new furniture store – Caffrey’s Furniture – had their grand opening in Gorey last weekend. The new furniture store business replaced another furniture store – Hughie Doyle Furniture – which was originally there.
