Wexford musician releases new single ‘Start Again’

A Wexford man has released a new single…

Gorey musician, Sam Ali, has released his new single entitled ‘Start Again’.

The music video, which was set on Curracloe Beach in Wexford town, was shared on YouTube last Friday. The musician was quick to mention the help he received from both Zena O’Brien and Jade Caswell, who he said without them, “this wouldn’t be possible.”

Sam Ali recently spoke on the “Up and at it with Basil” podcast with former Wexford boxer, Niall ‘Basil’ Kennedy. Speaking on “Up and at it with Basil,” he said:

“Recently, I got another knock and it threw me back into music. I’ve written this new song – and it’s the first I’ve written in two years. I have ex-band members playing on it. ‘Start Again’ – it’s what I’m doing now. Every time something happens which breaks you down, the version of you comes back stronger. And if you can visualise that, it will stand to you. You’re going to be a better, stronger version of yourself. I’m delighted that I’m back doing music,” Sam Ali said.

In the open and honest vodcast, Sam Ali also speaks about the set-backs from his time in his previous band, the loss of his Mam, grief, and relationships.
