Wexford Senior hurling team named for Galway clash

Wexford will take on Galway this weekend in Round 3 of the Leinster Senior hurling championship…

Regarding the Leinster final aspirations of both teams, this game has became a crucial must-win clash.

Wexford Senior hurling manager, Keith Rossiter, has named his side to take on Galway.

One of the stand-out names on the team sheet for the upcoming Galway clash is the addition of Liam Ryan in full-back.

Conor McDonald was also available for selection for the first time this season. The Naomh Eanna man has been named as number 26 and may feature against the Tribesmen.

McDonald’s club counterpart, Cian Molloy, has been placed on the bench to make way for the returning Liam Ryan in the full-back line. Meanwhile, Jack O’Connor has returned to the panel after missing out the previous clash to Dublin due to a suspension.

Meanwhile, Galway have also named their side for the upcoming clash.

The match, fixtured for Pearse Stadium in Salthill, will take place this Saturday at 3:15pm.

Former Wexford hurler, Richie Kehoe, is confident of a Wexford win, despite the fact that it’s an away clash for Wexford and that they are 9/4 underdogs.
