
The draws for the semi-final of the Wexford Cup took place yesterday…
Gorey Rangers been drawn against North End United in the semi-final of the Wexford Cup.
The fixture is to be played at the neutral venue of Ajax’s Patrick Mernagh Park in Enniscorthy on Thursday May 15th, with kick-off set for 7pm.
Gorey Rangers will also need to play North End away in the league a few days later. This will be a top-of-the-table clash in the Wexford Premier Division.
In the other semi-final of the Wexford Cup, Bunclody have been drawn against the winners of Forth Celtic and Wexford Bohs.

In related football news, North End Utd have also made it through to the FAI Junior Cup final. They will take on Fairview Rangers on Saturday May 24th. It means that North End will play Gorey Rangers in the cup semi-final, a mid-week clash against Gorey Rangers in the top-of-the-table Premier Division clash, and then an FAI Junior Cup all within the space of one week. It’s exciting times for the club, with a historic treble on the cards.
It also comes after Wexford were crowned All-Ireland Oscar Traynor champions, with multiple players from both Gorey Rangers and North End named on the panel.
