Five Wexford winners at the 2025 Irish Restaurant Awards

The All-Ireland Final of the 2025 Irish Restaurant Awards took place at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, where over 1,000 of the country’s top hospitality professionals, which included owners, chefs, managers and staff, gathered to celebrate the finest establishments in Irish food and drink.

On the night, which highlights the best of the Irish restaurants, seen five Wexford businesses emerge with either provincial or national awards.

The Sea Rooms at Kelly’s Resort won the provinvial (Leinster) award for Best Hotel & Guesthouse Restaurant.

The Leinster award for Employee Excellence Award went to Jackie Cullen of Mary Barry’s Bar in South Wexford.

Meanwhile, Bearú – located in the heart of New Ross – won the Leinster award for Best Newcomer. After claiming the provincial award, Bearú was then awarded with the All-Ireland title for Best Newcomer, which is an incredible feat against stiff opposition.

Monart Spa, located in Enniscorthy, won a Leinster award for Best Customer Service.

The duo of Tom and Laura Sinnott from Wexford Home Preserves also received an award at the 2025 Irish Restaurant Awards. They won an award for being a Local Food Hero.

Speaking on the night, President of the Restaurants Association of Ireland, Seán Collender, said:

“At a time when our industry continues to face significant challenges, it’s more important than ever to come together and celebrate the strength of Ireland’s food and hospitality sector. These Awards are about acknowledging the incredible talent and tireless work of those in our restaurants, cafés and kitchens across the country.

They shine a light on the resilience and creativity that define our industry. Behind every meal served is a team of passionate professionals dedicated to delivering unforgettable experiences,” he said.

“This year’s Awards have once again highlighted the extraordinary standard of culinary talent across every region. I want to extend heartfelt congratulations to all of our winners and nominees, your commitment and passion inspire us all.”
