The Republic of Ireland u-17 team are currently in Croatia…

On the trip, they will be taking on Turkey and Norway.

A young Wexford lad – Ryan Butler from Wexford FC – has received his first-ever International call-up after impressing locally. Josh Cullen of Finn Harps is the only other member of the squad to receive their first call up to the national team.

Butler will join follow Wexford native, Oisin McDonagh, in the Republic of Ireland u-17 squad for the two games.

McDonagh made a transfer from Wexford FC to Venezia FC in Italy in September 2024, signing a 2.5 year deal with the Italian club.
