Notice issued as popular Wexford beach set to close

A popular beach in South Wexford is set to temporarily close…

Baginbun Beach in South Wexford will be temporarily closing on Thursday. Baginbun Beach is a sheltered, sandy beach located on the Hook Peninsula in County Wexford.

Wexford County Council issued a notice on Tuesday afternoon, noting that the popular beach will be closed from Thursday 26th June at 7am to 9pm.

Wexford County Council noted that the beach will be closed on Thursday due to “emergency works” being carried out.

“Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated and Wexford County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused by the closure,” they also said.

Locals, along with tourists with plans to travel to the area and beach on Thursday, should make note of this temporary closure to avoid disruption to their plans.
