Daragh Morgan has undertaken a massive challenge this Summer – to swim around the entire coastline of Ireland…
Already 51 days into the challenge, he has currently swam over 900KM and gone from Galway to Mayo, Donegal, Antrim, Down, Louth, Dublin, Wicklow and reached Courtown Wexford on Tuesday August 19th and Kilmore Quay on the 21st.

He is supported on the swim by a 43ft Galway Hooker Boat which accommodates swimmer & seasupport crew, Captain Dara Bailey, Skippers / Pilots Padraic & Cillin McDonagh as well as Rebecca Jane Leech, Ken O’ Driscoll and Ava Johnston.
The swimmer swims for 4 – 6 hours a day while being monitored and observed by the boat crew as well as receiving guidance, safe swim route advise and nutrition during feed breaks on each swim.
All times and distances are logged and recorded in keeping with WOWSA World Open Water Swimming Association Guidelines.

The swim is raising awareness through onboard photography & videography of Irish Coastal Waters & Seas, connecting in with coastal communities as the swim progresses. The swim has 2 chosen charities RNLI & Simon Communities of Ireland.
